Mission
We create conditions for encounters with contemporary culture. We focus on quality of experience, artistic integrity and building space for dialogue between creators and audiences.
We don't build institutions. We create conditions in which art can exist. We operate in the field of contemporary culture, organizing concerts, residencies and curatorial projects. Each event is built from context, place and form – not from a calendar or expectations.
Vanitas vanitatum et omnia vanitas sed ars aeterna permanet
We create conditions for encounters with contemporary culture. We focus on quality of experience, artistic integrity and building space for dialogue between creators and audiences.
A cultural platform operating beyond institutional schemas. A place where creative process, curatorial precision and attention to context form a coherent whole.
Vanitas vanitatum et omnia vanitas sed ars aeterna permanet
We operate with the conviction that culture needs time, space and appropriate conditions. We don't chase scale or publicity. We focus on what we do and how we do it.
Care in every aspect of realization. From concept through production to presentation.
Awareness of place, time and cultural background. Each project in dialogue with its environment.
Attention to the journey, not just the destination. Work with artists based on trust and long-term collaboration.
Culture as a space for exchange. Between artists, audiences and contexts.
Per aspera ad astra ducit virtus et ars stellas tangit
Artistic culture is neither education nor entertainment. It is a process of creating space where experience becomes possible that goes beyond ordinary content consumption.
We do not believe in culture as product. We believe in culture as relationship – between artist and work, work and recipient, recipient and context. Each of these elements requires attention, time and space to emerge.
Our projects develop slowly. We do not organize seasons or cycles. We treat each event as an autonomous format – not a point in the calendar, but an occurrence built from context, place and form.
We organize concerts and artistic events that do not fit within standard institutional or commercial frameworks. We work with contemporary music, jazz, improvisation, cross-genre projects – without genre limitations, with emphasis on artistic integrity.
We choose spaces that allow for a different kind of presence. These are not always concert halls. Sometimes they are places that require a different kind of attention from the audience – more intimate, focused, without the routine of institutional reception.
We create artistic residencies. We support the creative process, not just its presentation. We give artists time and conditions to work without pressure for quick results.
Vanitas vanitatum et omnia vanitas sed ars aeterna permanet
Lux Artis operates from Szczecin – a city that combines the potential of cultural infrastructure with a position outside the main media circuit. This allows us to work without representational pressure and without the need to confirm the status quo.
Szczecin lies in direct proximity to Berlin, in the Baltic Sea area, at the crossroads of cultures. This geography favors exchange, not isolation. We work locally, but we are not closed locally.
We do not treat place as decoration. Place is part of curation.
We do not think in terms of target groups. We think about people who seek something more than superficial contact with form in culture.
For artists who need space for honest presentation of work – without reducing form to calendar or commercial requirements.
For audiences who come for experience, not entertainment. For those who understand that culture requires engagement, not just passive consumption.
For those who do not need reception instructions.
Mens sana in corpore sano in arte perfecta se manifestat
Every project starts with a question about context. Not about what we want to show, but about the conditions in which art can exist authentically. This approach requires time, patience and willingness to abandon spectacular but empty solutions.
We do not organize events for the sake of events. Every decision – from the choice of venue to the way of communication – is part of a curatorial whole. We believe that form and content are inseparable, and the quality of experience depends on the attention given to each element.
We work with artists as partners, not as organizers of their performances. This means time for conversations, understanding intentions, joint search for the best conditions for presenting work.
We do not impose ready-made formats. Each project is built from the specificity of the artistic proposal. Sometimes this means abandoning established concert schemes in favor of solutions that better serve specific music or a specific artistic situation.
Pulchritudo splendor veritatis est et forma perfecta artis
Culture needs community, but not every gathering of people creates a cultural community. We care about building spaces where real dialogue is possible – between artists and audiences, between different forms of expression, between tradition and novelty.
We do not organize parties. We create situations where culture can happen. This is the difference between consumption and participation, between entertainment and experience.
We think about culture in terms of process, not product. Each project is part of a larger whole – building conditions in which contemporary art can develop without commercial or institutional pressure.
We do not chase scale. We focus on quality and authenticity. We believe that culture needs time – time for projects to mature, for relationships to build, for deep understanding of what we do and why we do it.
